In 2021, during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Märklin Insider Stammtisch UK, "MISUK" for short, was established as an online hosted event to allow Märklin-enthusiasts all over the UK to still meet and get together. Even before the first meeting in June 2021 it was already recognized by Märklin as the first Insider Stammtisch UK.

But what actually is a "Stammtisch"?

"Stammtisch" is German for "regular's table". It refers to a large table in a pub or restaurant where the regular guests would sit but also to the group of people itself. This can be any group of individuals meeting loosly to share their common interest in a loose "get-together" setting rather than a planned meeting. See also the Wikipedia entry for Stammtisch. 

We are a group of model railway enthusiats based in the UK and regularly meet online and in person. Please see here for dates. Anyone can join us, there is no need to be a member of the Märklin-Insider-Club. There is no requirement to register or sign up to anything, just get in touch if you want to learn more or even just show up to our meetings. While we focus our interest models by Märklin and their brands, we do not limit what trains or gauges we talk about and bring to the Stammtisch meetings, you can bring whatever models/brands/gauges you like.
